ACTIVITIES
Students in the Van Tech Summit Program engage in a variety of activities, ranging from smaller events such as giving hot chocolate to bus drivers, attending Bard on the Beach, skating at Robson Square, bowling at Grandview Lanes, and having a Kits Beach Wrap Up party at the end of the year.
SUMMIT CAMP
Students in the Summit program participate in the annual Summit Camp trip in September where they will spend four days and three nights together at Timberline Ranch. Within this short period of time, they will take part in multiple activities, ranging from archery to yoga . The trip allows Summit students to work with all grades in the program building their teamwork skills and creating strong bonds to begin a new year together.
FLYING U RANCH
In Grade 10, Summit students will have the chance to embark on a five-day trip where they will bond with each other! Students can plan and fundraise for these trips together throughout the year!
Last year's grade 10 class went to the Flying-U Ranch for their year-end trip, participating in team-building activities, survival training, ranch activities, and horseback riding.
EUROPE TRIP
In grade 11 or 12, Summit students have the opportunity to enrich their education and high school experience with an amazing trip to parts of Europe! Students will immerse themselves in European culture and history, revisiting themes and units learned in Social Studies 8-10 with Mr. Li. Each tour is unique in its own way and students return back home with lifelong memories and a sense of independence.
