The applications for the class of 2023-2024 are now closed.
Timeline for application & acceptance:
Dec 15 - Deadline to submit District Application
Jan 3 - Deadline to submit Summit Application, Report Cards, and Supporting Documents
Jan 16 - Interviews
Feb 22 - First offers made to candidates at 9am (offers are made by email only)
Feb 24 - Deadline to accept first offers (noon)
Mar 1 - Second offers made to candidates at 9am
Mar 2 - Deadline to accept second offers (noon)
Criteria for acceptance
In order of importance, our selection committee looks for:
1.“Extending” results in Math and Science indicating above grade-level interest and ability in Math and Science
2. “Applying” or better results in all other subject areas
3.Student responses on the application and interview that indicate good attitudes towards learning, excellent work habits, and the ability both to contribute to the Summit program and to take advantage of the opportunities it offers.
4. Report card comments and supplementary documents that indicate the student will be a good fit for the Summit program
